Sharing Scripts with a Teleprompter
Vocal Video Collectors now have teleprompters! There are two ways the teleprompter feature can be used: a script or talking points can be pre-loaded for each question when a Video Collector is being set up, or the respondent can put in their own script or notes when they are getting ready to record their response. Both options bring up the script or notes on-screen as the response is being recorded allowing the respondent to keep their eyes on the screen and feel fully prepared for their response.
Pre-Loading the Teleprompter
When you are setting up a video collector you can share a pre-written script or set of talking points for each question. This is a great option if there are certain ideas or points that you would like a respondent to mention in their response. The teleprompter response for each question must be set up individually.
By each question, click the cog symbol. This will bring up a pop-up.
Click on the plus sign next to "Default teleprompter script" and write in a full script of what you want your respondent to say or put in talking points or ideas.
When a respondent goes to answer the question, the teleprompter feature will automatically put the script or notes on the recording screen allowing the respondent to read as they respond. The teleprompter will automatically scroll as the response is recorded, too!
Respondents Can Set Their Own Scripts/Notes
The teleprompter feature also allows a respondent to put in their own script or notes before they record their response. When a respondent clicks on the link to open the recorder, they will see an icon on-screen for the teleprompter.
This will bring up a pop-up where the respondent can type in their own script or notes for their response.
After the respondent is done typing in their script or notes, hit "Done" and the teleprompter will automatically appear on screen before recording and will scroll during recording if necessary.
