How to Edit Thumbnails in Published Videos

To change the thumbnail on a video you've already published, edit the video, update its thumbnail, then republish it. Follow these steps:

Step 1: Open the video's page in your workspace and click Edit below the video. You can also choose Edit & Republish from the ... menu at the top right.

Step 2: In the editor, click Thumbnail at the top of the scene list to open Thumbnail Settings.

Step 3: Change the image, text, colors or fonts. Creating Video Thumbnails walks through each setting.

Step 4: Click Republish at the top right. Your changes stay in draft until you do, so viewers keep seeing the current version until then.

Republishing is free: it doesn't use another publish or any AI credits. Embeds of your video update automatically once republishing finishes.
