How to Upload Images In Your Videos
You can add images to a video as standalone Image scenes or use images as backgrounds for designed scenes.
In this article:
Creating Image Scenes
Open the Video Editor, click the Add Scene button, or the "+ Add Scene" icons between scenes in your transcript panel, and select Add Scene > Image. You can upload a new image or select an existing image.

Motion and Duration
You can easily control how long your image scenes last, and give them some subtle motion to add visual interest.

Uploading Background Images in Text, Logo, Video, and Audio Scenes
You can also upload custom images to use as the backgrounds of your Text, Logo, Video, and Audio scenes, with the same simple motion controls to draw in viewers.
How can background images show up in a video scene, you ask? There are a couple ways that background images can be visible in video scenes:
- When your video clip's format doesn't match the format of your overall video (for example, a vertical video clip being published in a square Vocal video for LinkedIn or Instagram), and your media fit setting is set to "shrink to fit", the video scene's background will show behind the video clip.
- When you have AI effects set to remove the background behind people, the video scene's background will show through.
Uploading Custom Video Thumbnails
If you don't want to select a video frame as your video's thumbnail image, you can upload a custom thumbnail image.
